First of all, let me clarify something. Some people might question the padding of the thank-you list to increase the word count, so let me explain that.
The word count of the chapters on Qidian is based on the first published version of the chapter; subsequent modifications to expand the content are still counted as the original word count.
So, every time I post, the chapters protected against theft are actually about 200 words less than pure text sometimes, and sometimes they are 300 to 400 words less.
You might see the chapter showing 2100 words and pay based on this word count, but in reality, when I modify it to correct it to the main content, the text copied has more than 2500 words. If I include the thank-you list, each chapter might reach up to 2700 words.
But the word count you see on the Qidian chapter still only shows 2100 words! I just want to clarify that Qidian won’t charge you an extra penny for this.
